In addition to the immediate confirmation of approved transactions, you have all the features of the Asaas Digital Account for managing charges.
Among the main advantages are:
- easy integration, done in just a few clicks;
- transparent checkout;
- support for refunds and reversals via Asaas and Shopify;
- installments in up to 12 times;
- simplified purchase experience.
When to use
The Asaas Credit Card App is recommended for stores that want to offer card payments directly at the Shopify checkout.
It is especially recommended when:
- the store wants to make installments available to buyers;
- the checkout experience without redirects is important to increase conversion;
- the audience predominantly uses credit cards as a payment method.
The application can be installed individually or together with the Asaas Pix and Asaas Bank Slip Apps, allowing multiple payment methods to be offered to customers.

Installing the Asaas Credit Card App is very simple.

As our publication on Shopify is recent, it may not yet be available in the search for payment providers. In this case, use the link above directly.
If you are already logged in to your store, click Install.
On the next screen, the permissions required for the application to work will be displayed.
If you agree, click Install again.
The next step will be to enter your Asaas API key.
You will be able to enter:
- Production API key;
- Sandbox API key.
To obtain your Production key, access the Integrations area of your Asaas account.
If you want to run tests, first create your Sandbox account at:
Then generate your key through the Integrations area of the Sandbox account.
Each installed application must have its own API key. To make identification easier, we recommend using a name such as:
Shopify Credit Card API Key
Once the key has been created, copy it and enter it in the respective field.
Attention
- It will be mandatory to enter a Production API key.
- The Sandbox API key is optional.
- If both are entered, it will be possible to switch between Production and Sandbox using the Test mode option in the application settings.
- The API key is displayed only once during its creation.
- If it is lost, it will be necessary to generate a new key.
You will also be able to configure:
- maximum number of installments, up to 12x;
- minimum amount per installment.
The number of installments displayed to the buyer will be calculated automatically based on these settings.
Once you complete the settings, click Save.
If any error is displayed, check:
- whether the key belongs to the correct environment;
- whether the key was copied in full;
- whether the selected environment matches the key used;
- whether the account has permission to use the API.
In the next step, you will be able to activate the Asaas Credit Card App and choose between operating in Production or Sandbox using the Test mode option.
After confirming the settings, click Save.
And that’s it! The Asaas Credit Card App will be installed and ready to process credit card payments through Asaas.

- validate the entire integration using the Sandbox environment;
- check whether the API key matches the configured environment;
- review the installment settings and minimum amount per installment;
- make a test purchase to validate the complete payment flow.
Operational impacts
The Test mode option determines which environment will be used by the application.
- Test mode disabled: all transactions will use the Production key.
- Test mode enabled: all transactions will use the Sandbox key.
Changing this setting impacts only new transactions.
