Introduction - Transfers
Get to know Transfers
Transfer the available balance in your Asaas account to another linked Asaas account or to an account at another institution.
Choose the flow
| Destination | When to use | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Linked Asaas account | Move balance between the main account and subaccounts or between subaccounts of the same structure | Transfer to Asaas account |
| Account at another institution | Transfer the Asaas balance via Pix or TED | Transfer to accounts at another institution |
| Pix key | Transfer directly to a Pix key | Transfer to accounts at another institution |
Before transferring
It is not possible to transfer an amount greater than the available balance in the source Asaas account.
The balance available for transfer can be checked through the Retrieve account balance endpoint.
Track the processing
The possible statuses of a transfer are:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
PENDING | Transfer pending |
SCHEDULED | Transfer scheduled |
BANK_PROCESSING | Transfer in bank processing |
BLOCKED | Transfer blocked |
DONE | Transfer completed |
CANCELLED | Transfer canceled |
FAILED | Transfer failed. Generates the TRANSFER_FAILED event |
To track status changes in your integration, prefer Webhooks instead of repeatedly querying the transfer through the API.
Events such as:
TRANSFER_DONE;TRANSFER_FAILED;TRANSFER_CANCELLED;
let you update your operation after the transfer is processed.
Asaas also has events for intermediate steps, such as transfer pending, in bank processing or blocked.
